The American Red Cross Monroe County Chapter receives no federal funds for its operating support. We are not a government agency. We are a non-profit organization and rely on financial contributions from people like you to serve our communities with disaster relief and lifesaving programs.

How can I donate today?
You can donate by phone by calling 812-332-7292 between 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday. You may also leave a message after hours and we'll return your call the following business day. With our secure donation form, you can also donate online now with any major credit card.

Where do my donations go?
In 2007 the Monroe County Chapter provided the following services to individuals in Monroe and Owen Counties:

• We responded to 41 residential fires and helped 40 affected individuals with emergency food, shelter and supplies.
• We taught 4,619 individuals lifesaving skills such as First Aid, CPR and AED.
• We taught lifeguard, parent and child aquatics, water skills, and water safety instructor training to 1,481 individuals.
• We relayed emergency messages to 86 members of the military and their families, helping them stay connected during a birth, death or illness.
