2010 Heroes for the American Red Cross Honored at Closing Luncheon
05/04/2010

Thank you to all of the Contributors to our Heroes for the American Red Cross Campaign

The Monroe County Chapter of the American Red Cross would like to thank all of the “Heroes” and all of our contributors in Monroe and Owen Counties who participated in our fourth annual Heroes for the American Red Cross Campaign.  Outstanding individuals, groups, schools, and businesses in Monroe and Owen Counties either donated or raised $1,000 or more during the Heroes campaign period to help fund the critical emergency preparedness, service to armed forces, and disaster response services that are provided by the American Red Cross 24/7, 365 days a year through the Monroe County Chapter.  The Red Cross provides help and hope down the street, across the country and around the world wherever and whenever disasters strike. We are grateful for the support of residents in Monroe & Owen Counties for their contributions totalling $95,000 to date after the Haiti earthquake, as well as for our annual fund raising campaign to raise monies for disaster relief & preparedness right here at home.
