Red Cross Service Delivery Sites Open in Four Affected Counties
Facilities Schedules to be Open 12 Hours a Day to Provide Assistance

INDIANAPOLIS, June 11, 2008 – Five American Red Cross Service Delivery sites were opened today in four Indiana counties. The facilities will be staffed by trained Red Cross disaster caseworkers, who will meet one-on-one with people affected by the recent flooding to verify their disaster caused needs, help them develop recovery plans, provide Red Cross emergency assistance and refer them to other available assistance  

Hoosiers needing Red Cross disaster assistance should call 1-866-GET-INFO to receive Red Cross shelter and service center locations, and other vital information.

AMERICAN RED CROSS SERVICE DELIVERY SITES

NOTE: All locations will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily.

Morgan County: Poston Road Elementary, 139 E. Poston Rd., Martinsville, IN

Bartholomew County: Northside Middle School, 1400 27th St., Columbus, IN

Owen County: Spencer Elementary, 151 E Hillside Ave, Spencer, IN

Vigo County: Booker T. Washington Community Center, 1101 S. 13th St., Terre Haute, IN

Vigo County: West Vigo Community Center, 127 W. Johnson St., West Terre Haute, IN

Information on additional sites and outreach efforts will be forthcoming.

All American Red Cross disaster assistance is free, made possible by voluntary donations of time and money from the American people. You can help the victims of thousands of disasters across the country each year, disasters like the Indiana Tornadoes and Floods, by making a financial gift to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, which enables the Red Cross to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to victims of disaster.
